A coordinated operation by federal forces in Chihuahua resulted in the arrest of Roberto 'N', identified as the 'main generator of violence' in several municipalities of the state, who has an extradition order to the United States in process. In total, 11 members of a criminal cell were detained and an arsenal was secured that included Barrett rifles, machine guns, and explosive devices. The operation took place in the locality of El Pueblito, municipality of Aldama, after elements of the National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard, who were conducting ground patrols, 'were attacked with firearm shots'. The communication states that he is a 'probable responsible for confrontations in Ojinaga, between antagonistic groups' and operated in the municipalities of Aldama, Coyame del Sotol, and Manuel Benavides. In addition to the 11 detainees, 11 long weapons, two machine guns, two Barrett rifles, three vehicles, 'various explosive devices and a drone' were secured. After the detention, 'the detainees were informed of their legal rights, and along with what was secured, they were made available to the corresponding Public Ministry agent', who will be in charge of determining their legal situation. Authorities pointed out that the operation was the 'result of inter-institutional coordination work' that involved the National Defense, National Guard, Navy Secretariat, Attorney General's Office, and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection. According to the official communication, 'seeing their physical integrity at risk, they repelled the aggression and controlled the situation'. Roberto 'N', also known as 'el 02', was considered a 'priority objective' by the Government of Mexico.
